Project:  Silverwood Park Visitor Center

Wood:  White and Red Oak

More Information:  Wood From The Hood collected the logs that were cleared from the parkland and processed it into dried lumber. The Park District took that wood to their own shop and produced the unique and beautiful paneling that is installed on the walls of the visitor center.

The counter treatment was created from squared logs by Wood From The Hood.

Project:  Reclaimed tree from site of house addition.

Wood:  White Oak

More Information:  A White Oak tree was removed to make room for an addition to a house near Lake Of The Isles. The owner wanted the wood dried and milled for later use in the house.

Wood:  American Elm

More Information:  This Elm tree was removed from the owners property. The owner wanted to create a dining table and other items from the tree. WFTH processed the tree and built the tabletop while the owner created the benches for his porch and other items.
